(But I think it could also be said that it does not include a history, latin, geography, or science curricula either, but more on that later).Ĭlassical Conversations does not (necessarily) beholden you to any one curriculum. At the Foundations level, CC itself discloses that it does not include a math or language arts curriculum. But I like to think of it as repetition.ĬC offers the Foundations Guide, a printed book that outlines what facts to memorize, what art projects and artists to enjoy, and what science experiments to discover. Instead, CC turns its focus toward a very typical component of the classical educational model: memorization. You get the point: Classical Conversations is not an all-in-one program. It is a peg from which you must hang additional resources. It is a shelf upon which you must set other subjects. Let us explore these nuances together.Ĭlassical Conversations is first and foremost a curriculum framework. It does not have final say in the education of my child. And I want to be clear on that that is, CC is a resource. Sure, yes, that seems like quite a statement, and my, how could I be so bold, but truly I say to you: Classical Conversations (CC) is the resource I never knew I wanted. If I may be so candid, Classical Conversations is everything I have ever hoped for in a home education resource.
